Credit: Design and design management at White Lotus · Sugeeth was Senior Manager, Project Design on the team and mainly managed services, structure and visualisation. A landscape of water, shade and thresholds, drawn between the villas. Water channels cool the air and stitch the gardens together, so you move from one sanctuary to the next beside the water rather than across open heat. Curving paths in two tones of stone slow the walk: a darker band for the main route, a lighter one for the edges and the pauses. Moon-gate brick walls and small pavilions mark thresholds — places to sit, look back, and wait out the sun. Native planting and a dry stream bed take the monsoon runoff: the civil design that keeps the landscape working in heavy rain. ### [Family residence, Dharwad](https://mudhole.space/work/residence-for-mr-harshavardhan) Status: Design · Visualisation · Build coordination. Credit: Design by Ar. Sugeeth Mudhole. A courtyard house in Dharwad. The home is planned around a sunken garden of moss, stone stepping slabs and twin water basins, so you arrive through landscape rather than straight off the street. Tall boundary walls in grey plaster give the plot privacy and turn the whole garden into an outdoor room. Three materials, each with a job. A single wing in terracotta brick tile grounds the house and takes the western sun. The white plaster volume behind it stays calm and cool. A light steel and glass canopy sits between them and ties the two together. A roof that lets the sky in. A deep concrete overhang shades the upper terrace, and three circular cut-outs let light and rain fall through, moving across the floor through the day. Its thin edge makes the roof seem to float above the glass. Thresholds made for sitting. The front steps widen into a raised plinth with built-in cushioned seats, shoe storage underneath, a planter and a small lap pool to one side. It suits the Indian way of lingering at the doorway, and the granite window ledges double as planters and perches. Climate first. Overhangs, shaded glass, water beside the seating and planted edges cool the air before it enters the house. That suits Dharwad’s hot afternoons and heavy monsoon. ### [Private residence, Coimbatore](https://mudhole.space/work/private-residence-coimbatore) Status: Design render. Credit: Design by Ar. Sugeeth Mudhole. A house in Coimbatore designed by Sugeeth, with a white and copper façade, a vertical-fin jaali and planters: a ground floor and three upper floors with a terrace, tied together by a lift and stair core, slit openings along the stair, and a double-height living space on the second floor. Floor levels from the drawings: ground +0.30 m, first +3.45 m, second +6.60 m, third +10.35 m, terrace +14.10 m, headroom +17.25 m. The ground floor has a portico and parking. Shown as his working drawings: four floor plans and two sections. ### [Residential building, Bengaluru](https://mudhole.space/work/residential-building-bengaluru) Status: Built. Credit: Design by Ar. Sugeeth Mudhole. A completed ground-plus-four residential building in Bengaluru, designed by Sugeeth. A white plastered façade, centred on an arched, recessed balcony bay that rises to a curved parapet, with a tall band of terracotta vertical fins and moulded window surrounds. The street view shows the jaali gate still in its protective film. ### [A Bridge in Time](https://mudhole.space/work/a-bridge-in-time) Status: B.Arch thesis. Credit: Sugeeth’s B.Arch thesis · academic, hypothetical. Sugeeth’s B.Arch thesis: a hypothetical cultural centre at Srirangapatna that asks how the elements of Indian architecture can carry a culture forward, a bridge between Eastern traditional knowledge and Western modern science. The pavilion is planned on the Navagraha and Vastu Purusha mandalas, as a quiet datum for daily activity. Shown as his own thesis sheets: rendered views, the vision, the computational approach and iterations. ### [Bakery and tea room](https://mudhole.space/work/talk-over-tea) Status: Built. Credit: Design by Ar. Sugeeth Mudhole. A small bakery and tea room redesigned on a low budget. The east-facing shopfront sat behind a large deciduous tree, so the concept came from sciography: the moving shadows of the tree on the north wall, answered by a pattern of timber box elements on the south wall. Two years later the owners took the neighbouring shop and asked for an extension, completed in 2019: a longer shop floor, custom tables sized to a standard table top, and a chalk menu board made from recycled timber. ### [Holistic healing resort](https://mudhole.space/work/holistic-healing-resort) Status: 2020 – 2021. Credit: Work by Sugeeth at Pendragon Design Studios. Work at Pendragon Design Studios, where Sugeeth was the all-round architect on a holistic healing resort: site planning and analysis, government authority submissions and GFC (good-for-construction) drawings. The project was modelled in SketchUp and rendered in Twinmotion. Shown here as sheets from Sugeeth’s 2025 portfolio: site analysis, the brief and the site-planning process. ### [Student café](https://mudhole.space/work/tasty-bytes) Status: Built. Credit: Design by Ar. Sugeeth Mudhole. A student café redesigned to feel lighter and more like a place to stay, on a very low budget: a live green wall, a new seating area, custom stools and an extended floor area towards the road. Shown as sheets from Sugeeth’s 2021 portfolio: before and after, analysis sketches, the proposed plan and the built result. ### [Private residence](https://mudhole.space/work/private-residence-40x60) Status: Designed by Sugeeth at Brick & Bolt · concept. Credit: Designed by Sugeeth at Brick & Bolt. A concept design for a two-level house on a 40 × 60 ft plot facing an east road, drawn by Sugeeth at Brick & Bolt. Not built; shown as the concept plans. Through the main gate, a foyer leads past a small tulsi court to the living room (12′6″ × 18′2″), with a pooja room beside it. Dining with a breakfast counter opens to the kitchen (11′0″ × 11′4″), with a utility and store behind. A master bedroom (14′8″ × 13′2″) with a walk-in and toilet and a second bedroom (14′8″ × 12′6″) with its own toilet complete the ground floor. The front of the plot holds car parking and a planted sit-out. Upstairs: a master bedroom with a walk-in and toilet, an area under a temporary structure, and a large open terrace. Floor height 10′, plinth 1′6″, 19 steps at a 6″ riser. ### [Rental apartment building, G+5](https://mudhole.space/work/rental-apartment-building-g5) Status: Designed by Sugeeth at Brick & Bolt · concept. Credit: Designed by Sugeeth at Brick & Bolt. A concept design for a ground-plus-five rental building on a 1,919 sq ft site facing a west road, drawn by Sugeeth at Brick & Bolt. Not built; shown as the concept plans. The ground floor keeps most of the frontage for car and two-wheeler parking behind a wicket gate and two main gates, with a stair lobby, a one-bedroom home (living, kitchen, bedroom, utility, toilets) and a further room. Floors one to four repeat: two two-bedroom homes either side of a central stair lobby, each with living, kitchen, utility and a front balcony (701 sq ft built-up each, as drawn). The fifth floor holds a single home, with a living and dining room (17′9″ × 21′3″), a bedroom and toilet, opening onto a large open terrace with a deck. ### [Highway hospitality, near Hubli](https://mudhole.space/work/highway-hospitality-hubli) Status: Design in progress · concept visualisations. Credit: Design by Ar. Sugeeth Mudhole · concept visualisations · design in progress. A bar, two restaurants, a multipurpose hall and six guest rooms around a lawn on a state highway near Hubli. Concept visualisations, design in progress. Site: approx. 91.7 m × 65.6 m; Frontage: 17 m state highway, 9 m service road, 12 m side road; Lawn: approx. 12,796 sq ft; Pool: 30′ × 60′ with deck; Multipurpose hall: approx. 1,903 sq ft · approx. 195 people; Restaurant 1: approx. 2,032 sq ft · approx. 90 covers; Restaurant 2: approx. 844 sq ft · approx. 32 covers; Bar: 30′-0″ × 15′-4″; Upper floor: 4,535 sq ft · six rooms, each with balcony and toilet · lift · terrace. ### [Angala — a courtyard house](https://mudhole.space/work/angala-courtyard-house) Status: Concept study, not built. Credit: Design exploration made under Sugeeth’s direction · concept, not built. A single-storey courtyard house with a partial upper floor, thinking through North Karnataka’s hot-dry summers and monsoon. Rooms ring a 6 × 6 m angala open to the sky; warm air rises out of the court and pulls breeze through the house. Laterite walls, a Morwad stone plinth, black Kadappa in the court and teak jaali on the west. ### [Kalyani — a public pavilion](https://mudhole.space/work/kalyani-pavilion) Status: Concept study, not built. Credit: Design exploration made under Sugeeth’s direction · concept, not built. A public pavilion that borrows the kalyani (stepwell) section: eight terraces of 0.6 m descend 4.8 m to a shallow kund. Two thin roof plates on columns shade the upper steps; the lower steps sit in the cool air that pools over water. A place to sit, wait and gather, rather than a building. ### [Jaali workspace — a prototype](https://mudhole.space/work/jaali-workspace) Status: Concept study, not built. Credit: Design exploration made under Sugeeth’s direction · concept, not built. A three-storey workspace bar that answers the western sun with a jaali skin held 1.2 m off the façade. The gap is a shaded walkway and a buffer of moving air; a central atrium brings top light and lets warm air escape. A prototype for small studios and offices in Karnataka’s towns. ### [Rule-based housing — a generative study](https://mudhole.space/work/generative-housing) Status: Concept study, not built. Credit: Design exploration made under Sugeeth’s direction · concept, not built. A small housing cluster generated from a few written rules instead of drawn by hand: 7.2 m plots, every unit keeps its own court of at least 2.4 m, and heights of one to three storeys are chosen by a seeded rule set. The same rules can be re-run to test other combinations, the way BIM and AI tools let a designer compare options quickly. ## Courses - [AI for Architectural Visuals](https://mudhole.space/courses#visuals): ₹2,000 + GST · A single live session.
